Originally dug up from lawn when I moved into my new house in May 2008.
In May 2008, I added 60 lbs of organic composted mushroom manure to the mix just to plump up the soil a bit.
Final plot size: 10ft by 12ft.
2009 Plans
The garden definitely needs more work to the soil! The dirt is so compacted from being lawn for however many years! Needs a lot more organic matter added in spring of 2009.
Due to the McMansion built in the summer of 2008 what was once 8-10 hours of sun a day, now only gets 6 hours at the absolute peak of the season.

Wow Kelly, what a smashing display of edibles and herbs! I admire your commitment, starting everything so early indoors. You always grow tasty and colorful stuff. Best of luck with this year’s vegetable garden.

Thanks Robert! In a climate like mine if I want any sort of bounty I basically have to start everything indoors very early, hah! Let’s just hope the now only 6 hours of sun due to the big monster house being built next door doesn’t hurt my crop too much!
