WCGal's Frontyard Laurel Hedge Left Side garden
Garden Type: Shade | Sun: Dappled Sun | Soil: Combination | Established: 2010 | Organic
Left side of the bridge to the woodland under the laurel hedge. Planted with Paul’s Glory Hosta, No Name at Present Hosta, Northern Lights Azalea ‘Mandarin Lights’ and Irish Moss.
I hope this Irish Moss will expand into a 12 – 15" circle of bright green. I hope to find a biggish rock to place behind it. The two hostas are both large growers which should cover a 2’ area each with an equal heighth.
The sad looking azalea has been in its nursery pot for at least two and maybe even three years. :-( It did manage to bloom this year however, with yellow blooms. Say WHAT? Another one of those whatcha bot and watcha got are different things? Regardless I’ve cut it back alot which is why it looks kinda like a couple of sticks in the ground. I’ve my fingers crossed that with the good soil and some TLC it will survive and thrive. If not – well we’ll deal with that next year.
