We left one apple tree in place when we reterraced the back yard—the one next to the house, that has a swing hanging from it, that screens the view of the neighbors from the kitchen, that blooms heavily in early May, and that drops lots of wormy apples over the lawn for us to throw into the wildlands. Underneath is too shady for vegetables so we have ground cover—mostly some epimedium that Dayna gave us.
An outdoor organic garden located in Seattle, Washington, United States, anelson's Under the apple tree garden currently contains 5 plants.
This is a Shade garden that is known to be in USDA Hardiness Zone 8b. It has mainly Loam soil and receives Partial Sun light.Plantings
