hi, ya it’s great to have a greenhouse in alaska definately makes a diffrence ,just finished a 60×10×8! so you ever seen the big green book alaska gardening guild volume 1 ? been my bible for years does have a chapter specificly about greenhouses my husband has been welding us frames and we cover it with 6 mill plastic sheeting made by husky, frame bottoms with treated lumber fill with sand and pronto monster greenhouse, aphids are highly attracted to pepper plants which can in turn attack your tomatoes if in same area they are fairly easy to get rid off with commitment spraying daily with steady stream of water using incectaside soap, or lady bugs as a predator , but it really will be a better summer for you not to deal with it, ask your local nursery all about it, you would be better off putting them in a window in your house, because they live outside prevalently in alaska and they WILL find their way to your plants eventually so dont lure them with tempting peppers lets keep in touch since we share the same challenges of gardening in this uniqe state, i have bad connection due to where I live but will get journals and pics up as soon as I can

Is that book the one with the lady and the giant cabbage? If so, yes! I use that alot, although it covers the interior alot (which has envious summer weather) and the varietals it recommends are dated. Good to know about the aphids. I just planted 2 peppers in with the cucumbers. Do they have issues with aphids too?
