Cricketk's Frontyard garden

Created on Saturday, 03 May 08

Frontyard garden in it’s current state. It’s a fairly innocuous two level garden with a drainpipe running underneath it on to the bottom driveway. In fitting with the majority of the rest of the existing gardens, the plan is clearly for shade and coolness with little wateruse. An agenda I heartily approve of.

The plan is to remove the dead plants (and the brushwood fence). I want to replace the fence with hedging. At some point, a previous owner has built an interestingly curved edging with small rocks on the public side of the fence. I’d like to put the ‘additional photo’ mystery pink bulbs in on that side.

The whole lot needs to be mulched, and if I had my druthers, I’d prefer to have all of our fruit trees in this garden, so that I have more space for vegies and chooks out the back. That is by no means a plan, as I am still turning over the options. For now, this garden requires the least work of anything, so will probably be left largely alone for the next couple of years.
