This garden has several different sections to it and was the first we installed when we bought the 1955 rambler over 10 years ago. This property was overrun with blackberry bramble, dead plum trees and 9 stunning 200 year old Douglas Firs. I brought in all my own soil and hauled it in to 18" deep rather than ammend this bizarre sandy clay we have here in Beaverton. It is very acidic and only Rhodies and Azaleas like it
This area is my ONLY sunny area on 2/3 of an acre and happens to be my front yard right on the road so the neighbors get a pretty sweet view all summer. I’m always out there and get to meet everyone that passes by.
This area was featured on Mike Darcy’s “In the Garden” tv series showcasing all of my funky garden art within the winding cedar chip trails and plants

Thanks so much you guys!!! I don’t see well (legally blind) so I need lots and lots and LOTS of color out there to make me happy!! I have so much shade that the garden art is the best way to add colorful accents

This garden is absolutely amazing. Your sense of color, texture and whimsy is remarkable. I want to sit at the table and have a drink with you.
