We share a driveway with our neighbors. It bends around and ends in parking spaces in our backyard for the apartment that used to be our upstairs. We mostly use it as a patio. There’s a strip of yard that’s on the neighbor’s side of the parking space area that’s technically our property. I always forget it’s ours. The neighbors’ son mowed it when it was lawn because it was contiguous with their lawn and no where near our lawn. Our big pile of dirt from filling loads of raised beds eroded onto it in 2009, killing off the lawn and leaving it open for planting with other things. Spring of 2010 brings us a blank slate. No grass, no weeds… just a solid layer of rabbit droppings.
