bloombuddie's Old Shade Garden expanded garden

Garden Type: Frontyard | Sun: Don't Know | Soil: Don't Know

Started out several years ago as way to eliminate mowing between two large pecan trees. This summer we began working on expanding it to meld with the row of shrubbery along the Corps Land fence and to head north to include another pecan tree. Parts of it are now in the sun. At this point it is heavily mulched but sparsely planted.

I love elephant ear. My grandmother grew them right in the ground and also in pots outside when I was growing up. One thing that i remember is that she did not like dirt in the house. All plants had to be grown out of doors. But she loved to grow plants!! :)

Check out the Groups section when you get a minute. There are a lot of groups on Folia for different types of things… groups for specific areas, plants, gardening styles, etc.

I hope that you enjoy Folia as much as I do. I have been a member since the beginning of the year, and it has been amazing. :)
