A small (3 foot diameter) island garden set within the surface of the newly re-done patio in the backyard. I loved the “Buddha Garden” (now Trellis Garden), but it was too removed from the areas where I tend to sit in my garden (without my glasses on, LOL).
This garden was only just created over the weekend, so it’s fairly bare as yet. In it so far are:
- the garden Buddha (he got knocked over recently and lost his left arm, so I covered it up with a new “robe” I made out of some scrap fabric, hee)
- a painted terra cotta bowl filled with sand, for burning incense
- a large chunk of veinal quartz given to me by my boyfriend, which came from his yard
- two halves of an iron curtain rod, as decorative stakes
- a small French Tarragon plant that I moved from the Herb Garden that borders the patio surface (it was being taken over by an adventurous Lavender).
I need a few more (small) plants to fill in around these items, and something a bit larger for the south side, as a backdrop. More on that as things occur to me. :)
