This is the strip across the front limestone wall, broken only by the path through to the front gate. It is a about 25 centimetres wide and 12 metres long bordered by the wall and the public footpath.
Currently it contains red geraniums grown from cuttings taken from the Long Outside garden, blue-eyed daisies, a oak-leaf sticky scented geranium, and a recently planted wormwood.
The plan is to replace the red geraniums with a pomegranate tree hedge. Move the oak-leaf geraniums to the front verge and grow elderflower hedge around the rose garden.
