This garden is a sub-division of the Mediterranean garden (2b on the plan).
This planter has been sitting empty for years. It came with the rescued Honeysuckle in the formal garden at the front of my house, and since my mum never asked for it back, I’ve kept hold of it. I suppose I thought that I might grow potatoes in it one day, but I did not get round to it. I don’t like container gardening, it’s far too much like hard work with all that daily watering and stuff.
Bunlett was inspired at the garden centre, she saw some strawberry plant plugs, so we bought some and peat free compost. The bottom of the pot already contained stones that I had been removing from the soil near by, so it was just a case of filling the pot up in stages, and nestling the plugs in. We have also added some trailing flowers to brighten it up a bit.
I doubt that she will add to this journal herself, but I’ll keep track of it here for her.
