rainymountain's 3. Bay Box garden

Garden Type: Container | Sun: Partial Sun | Soil: Combination I'm Organic!

Situated at the west end of Bay garden, this is a plastic tree planter about 30×30″. In September 09 the soil was dug out and amended with fish meal compost, planter soil, and a little compost and the box was sunk a couple of inches into the ground and made horizontal (well a very slight tilt towards the house wall which is good as the rain falls on the south west corner.) The bottom stands on cement board to prevent tree roots entering and is insulated around the lower half.
