This is essentially a 2-tier planter (open to the ground) along a small retaining wall in the back yard. It’s fate is unknown, as the tree providing the shade may not be kept (it overhangs the neighbours’ roof, and blocks the view from our deck – it will at least get a substantial haircut). So I haven’t bothered with it too much yet, but am starting to appreciate the diversity in it. Mostly its full shade, but one end, under the clothes line, gets some sun through the year, even full sun at the very end.
