Caroline_Bartel's Zero Waste garden

I have created space in our front and back yard to grow veggies, and I’m curious to see how much food I can grow on a typical city lot. I’ve been using scrounged materials to create raised beds and borders, and am trying to have a zero waste garden by incorporating all garden wastes either directly back on top of the soil or into the composter. This past season, flea beetles devasted several of my crops, and I’ve discovered they spend the winter hiding in debris on the soil surface, so I’m going to have to change how I deal with wastes at the end of the season.
