19 Aug 2008Does chard send up multiple sprouts? 2First time growing swiss chard… I’m noticing multiple sprouts in some of my plantings. I KNOW I only planted one little seed pod thingy per hole. But some of them have 4-5 sprouts. 1) is that normal? 2) how much should I thin them?

First mature red bell pepper of the summer. Long time coming, but so worth the wait. Now how to eat it? Hubby is lobbying for fresh grilled on a sausage dog. I’m thinking 3 cheese and veggie panini. There might be a brawl in the kitchen tonight.

It was a delicious sandwich. I’d have photographed it… but I HAD TO EAT IT as soon as I put the top slice of bread on. There was simply no time for photographing it.
I almost tear up now remembering it… my first one slice sandwich this summer.
