I’m a working mom of 3 children, I knit, garden and enjoy my mommy circle of friends. I grew up as an “outside girl,” not much into girly things, in Alabama and my family always gardened. Both grandfathers had HUGE gardens, and my parents always had something growing somewhere. Tomatoes and cucumbers were a given.

I live in Pennsylvania now and the growing season is much shorter than what I knew as a child… but certainly doable. It’s been lovely to get my hands back in the dirt with container and square foot gardening after so long. We live in a townhouse so a patio container garden is perfect. And high yield… what a surprise!
