Most of my gardening experience for the past 24 years has been that which I was forced into by my mom. I was never really interested in gardening . . . I liked how gardens looked, but was just not excited about the details of how they came to be.

But then I finally bought my own house just a few months ago, and suddenly it’s all relevant! My house had absolutely no gardens when I bought it, but (with help from my mom and stepdad, Barry), I’m working hard to change that.
