So today I was supposed to do all kinds of fun gardening stuff, but got caught up working on cakes for friends. Instead, while we did pick up 200# of soil yesterday, all i managed to do was water the garden. While i was out there, I had to pinch a pea shoot off the super sugar snap peas- it was...Sunny 21°C / 70°F -

I’ve really not been happy with the spinach. It’s simply lived the last little bit of time. We really planted it too late, and I wanted to use the valuable space. Also, I’ve not been thrilled with the fact that the basil was put into the garden bed. I like my herbs in pots. ...24°C / 75°F -

I did a very thorough watering today. Made it ‘rain’ for a good 15+ minutes. It’s not like our garden is big enough to ‘water for half an hour’. I’ve discovered a technique that I feel doesn’t mess with the plants too much. I put the ‘showerR...22°C / 71°F -

Unfortunately, sometimes the best time is to go look at night. Not that i can see much, just that it may be the only time I get to look at it. Of the FOUR GREAT TOMATO PLANTS (Jaune Flammee, Silvery Fir Tree, Black Sea Man, Lemon Drop) all have blossoms, and all except the Black Sea Man have fru...Sunny 20°C / 68°F -

Due to the significant amount of rain (well not too significant, just enough really) and the cooler temperatures the last couple days, I went without watering today. Usually I water daily, but it’s chilly. The San Marzano Tomatoes have their first true leaves on them, and the Silvery Fir T...Sunny 14°C / 57°F -

Today I sowed seeds for acorn squash, zucchini, fennel, and savory. I used compost from the bottom of the bin. I also put fish emulsion in the water can and sprinkled it over everything. I am concerned about the now- filling out tree over the back yard. Said tree is a hazard to the roof, fence, ...15°C / 59°F
