What is this vine?? 3 Very Happy
This vine came up last year and this year. I don’t know what it is. It looks like a geranium, but does not flower. I’ve been thinking about pulling it up, but I would like to know what it is. The backdrop in the picture is a bush and the vine with the heart-shaped leaves and red veins...

Strawberries are going crazy this year. Strawberry Ripening and T/M Berries garden
The strawberry plants that I planted last year have been taking over. I’m going to have to pick them back soon. We will have so many strawberries soon. Time for homegrown strawberry shortcake!

    A mini harvest
I pulled a couple of carrots and picked some cayenne and another squash. The season is getting underway. Tomatoes are getting bigger and cucumbers are about to come in abundance. I go out everyday to find more surprises waiting for me. So exciting.

Trellised Pole Beans and Missy and Tripp Season 2008 garden
I built a small trellis for the pole beans the other day. I used some old limbs from a plant Tripp trimmed in early spring. The beans are finally having a growth spurt and they are beginning to find the trellis. It’s strange how they reach and latch on.

Reaching for the sky! Soybeans and Missy and Tripp Season 2008 garden
The soybeans are getting bigger and I cannot wait until I can have some edamame pods for lunch. They seem to be doing great and I have a feeling we will be freezing some pods for winter.

    Avocado and Lemongrass 1
I included a picture of the avocado seed I have been rooting for the last couple of months. I have been coddling this seed forever and the other day, its first leaves and stem peeked their little heads from the top of the already rooting seed. Yay! I’ll finally be able to pot it soon. Also,...

Lots of garden work... DONE and DONE! 3
Today, I went out to clean with my friend, “A,” and came back home and went straight to gardening. I planted the Thornless Blackberry plant that I got the other day at Point of View Market, and I transplanted the tomato plants – because they REALLY needed it. Yesterday, I plante...

General Update: Wildflowers and such 1 T&M Wildflower Garden(s) garden
Well, I got out this morning and built a flower bed – I tilled it up a couple of weeks ago – and planted some wildflowers. That’s it in the picture above. It is actually outside next to our screened porch. It will be nice to be able to cut my own wildflowers. It was supposed to ...

Getting Ready/Lettuce Seedlings Back Pepper/Lettuce garden
This weekend, we will be working in the yard. I will also be cleaning up an overgrown bed in the backyard where I’m putting some of the peppers and our lettuce. I’m hardening off the lettuce seedlings above. It is Rouge De Grenobloise/Grenoble lettuce, and I can’t wait to eat it...
