I picked a couple of carrots, today. They aren’t that big, due to my planting them in an old fountain tub, but they will do. The greens are so tall and some of them needed to be pulled. Hope they are good.

We were able to harvest a few squash from the plants this weekend. They are doing great with no problems and the fruitings look great. I can’t wait to cook them this week.

The blackberry plant has had berries on it for a while, but they are beginning to turn. The plant is still really small and we won’t get a large harvest this season, but next year should be good. The berries are so cute, though. I’m surprised the birds haven’t found them, yet.

We have a baby bell pepper on our golden bell plant that is growing every day. We use so many bell peppers that I cannot wait until we have a few to harvest. These will eventually be yellow and will be so good in Tripp’s Thai curry he makes.

We finally have cayenne’s on one of our plants. The other is doing well, but just not fruiting. Maybe it will soon. I cannot wait to string these to dry, though.

I built a small trellis for the pole beans the other day. I used some old limbs from a plant Tripp trimmed in early spring. The beans are finally having a growth spurt and they are beginning to find the trellis. It’s strange how they reach and latch on.

The soybeans are getting bigger and I cannot wait until I can have some edamame pods for lunch. They seem to be doing great and I have a feeling we will be freezing some pods for winter.
