Holy Beans and Weeds Beans and Vegetable garden
Not sure what is eating my beans, but there’s a lot of holes in the leaves. I’m also having a hell of a time keeping the weeds down on this end of the garden. I’m thinking all the weeds are attracting something that’s eating the leaves. I don’t know what those wee...

    The Incredible Shrinking Compost 3
Wow, my compost pile is now a little less than half the size it was after only two weeks. I’m beginning to think someone is stealing my compost. :)

Curling Leaves? 1 Tomatoes and Vegetable garden
My tomatoes are really growing big and fast, but I’m a little worried about how some of the leaves are curling. What’s that about? I’ve been careful to keep them watered and they’re nice and green and healthy looking otherwise.

Do I need to thin? 3 Lettuce and Vegetable garden
Seems to be growing pretty good, but I’m wondering if I planted too many seeds and if I should thin them out? Also, look at those cracks in the soil. Even though I double dug, mixed in some good soil I bought, and water regularly, it’s still a whole lot of clay. Maybe the brick wal...

Second Tire Added 3 Potato Tire and Vegetable garden
I added the second tire to the potato tire tower. They’re really growing strong! I should have done it a few days ago, but it was just too damn hot outside to be working in the garden. I used the same soil as the first tire, mixing miracle grow fruit and vegetable soil with some of my ho...

    Compost Bin On Fire!
Well not exactly on fire, but I just went out to water the garden and noticed the compost pile went down a few more inches in just two days. I dug down and stuck my hand in and it was almost too hot to touch. We are in the middle of a heat wave (was about 100 degrees today), so I don’t kn...
