What to do with banana pup?
I’ve had this little banana tree for a little over a year and it’s sprouted two pups. One of them is getting quite big. I’m wondering if anyone has some advice on what to do with it. I’m going to have to take it out soon or else it’ll take over. I don’t kno...

Some Damage, Flowers, and a Volunteer Tomatoes and Vegetable garden
The middle (and thankfully strongest) one unfortunately lost two branches from some heavy wind yesterday, but otherwise they’re growing strong. They’ve also finally started flowering. Also, it looks like there’s a volunteer sprouting up behind the third one from last year! At...

Getting Stronger 1 Cucumbers and Vegetable garden
I’m glad these are finally starting to take off after surviving some insect damage early on. Almost to the point where they can finally make use of that ugly trellis I hacked together. :)

Still Not Ready Radishes and Vegetable garden
Wow, the radishes are getting huge. At least the leaves are anyway… According to the seed package, they should be ready to harvest by now, but I dig around them and I don’t see any big roots. Yesterday I pulled one out to check and there was just a little bump where the radish shoul...

Salad Lettuce Harvesting and Vegetable garden
Thankfully my late planted lettuce is still good. We started cutting a bit and had our first baby green salad the other day. Tasted great. This is first thing we’ve eaten from the garden this year!

Getting Higher Luffa and Vegetable garden
Already at the top of the trellis. These are planted along the side of my garage… another week or so and they’ll be to the roof! One of them split into two. Wish they’d spread out horizontally a bit.

Fourth Tire Added Potato Tire and Vegetable garden
Fourth and final tire added. I’m continually amazed at how high it keeps going. It’s now taller than my tallest tomato plant. I tried to pile up more dirt around it to get a few more inches. Not sure if that’s such a good idea since it might cause water to run off the sides ...

Third Tire Added 3 2 Potato Tire and Vegetable garden
The potatoes just keep on growing. It seems I’m adding a new tire every 5 days or so. I’m amazed at how fast it grows. Anyone know if this is normal? I did a little googling and I’m starting to get worried that the soil I’ve been using has too much nitrogen and it̵...
