I have a weird triangle balcony facing south (hurray), and 5 metres of window on the long side. It gets hot inside during the summer (I have no upstairs neighbours) and I decided to combine my desire to garden with a way to fix up a shield for my window during summer.

I have installed trellis in front of the window (the thin kind) and planted climbers (mmm, veggies) underneath. I hope they cover the trellis, creating a shield in front of my window which will prevent the hot sun from burning on the window and heating up my flat.

Plus, I’d get a nice harvest :)
