I have a disability that affects my hands. Yet I like gardening. I have started a blog called “The Gimpy Gardener” to talk about my gardening, not ignoring how the disability affects it. http://spidra.vox.com
Though I put down that I’ve been gardening 3 years, I actually went through a couple years of amateur gardening when I was a kid. Then, as now, my emphasis was food gardening. My parents’ place still has the guava tree and many of the other things I used my allowance money to buy and plant. But I was away from gardening for decades and have only recently started again. And I still feel like there’s so much to learn. I joined the California Rare Fruit Growers aboutl and they have helped me educate myself.
I’ve moved back to my hometown of South Pasadena, CA and would love to network with nearby gardeners.
