Compost fail Super Plot of Doom Strikes Back garden
There was a compost delivery to the community garden yesterday. We couldn’t get out there, though, because of the rain. It’s still pretty rainy this morning, but we thought that it was a good idea to go claim some of the compost so we can add it to the beds later. Unfortunately, when ...

Tomato forest Tomatoes and Super Plot of Doom garden
We are growing a tomato forest now. The plants have become too heavy to stay up on their stakes and are now blocking all the pathways. They are really lovely and tasty, though. Especially our ‘black beauty’ tomatoes. They are kind of a purply-red and taste very nice and sweet.

Purple beans are so very productive and happy. We planted another set! They are a beautiful color, but turn olive green when you cook them. Found a couple of cute bugs on them the other day. One yellow spiny beetle larva and one shiny green weevil.
