I’m a 36 year old artist, organic gardener, and mom to a five year old boy. I grow a lot of edibles, which are incorporated into the rest of my gardens. I like to think of my gardens as cottage style gardens with minds of their own! I love growing things that attract birds, butterflies, amphibians. I live right in town, but our backyard is our very own little wildlife habitat!
One of my gardens is home to several box turtles, and our two desert tortoises roam around the rest of the backyard – thus, all of the gardens have 2 foot high fences around them… a tortoise will make a lovely meal out of anything you’ve planted!
I garden in a completely organic fashion. I’ve never even used organic pesticides, etc. Birds are my favourite pest eradicators!
