16 Jun 2008Dead Sweet Basil and My First Container gardenIt got sicky. Of course, now that I have lost two herbs I read that they need some crappy soil. The stuff I had them planted in was pretty compacted and was really holding the water. Will try again, mixing in some sand with the soil.

16 Jun 2008Transplants Cucumbers Transplanted and My First Container gardenThese were moved to the garden on Saturday, June 14. Unfortunately, out of the four sprouts so far only one is going strong. I squished two when I moved them, and the other is droopy. I’m not giving up on it yet, though!
