    capsicum rising

    Capsicum 'Heirloom mixed' Sprouting and veggie garden
    mixed colours and varieties. Unknown variants but some sprouts which i feel are definitely from the pepper family. randomly spread lightly watered in compost with a seed raising mix top. With true leaves comes a top soil and mulch.

    Carrot 'Nantes' Sprouting and veggie garden
    sunny days, water in the mornings sown in light seedraising mix over friable compost soil. Lots of little gras weeds sproutting as well a few more weeks before weeding.

    trellis time

    After a visit to a recycle centre I returned home with two mesh frame which used to be part of some metal fending. After fixing to the fence they will provide the perfect climbing structure for my sugar snap peas which were recently planted. The veggie enclosure is working fine to keep the chooks...

    Sweet corn Sprouting and veggie garden
    corn has sprouted lovely green shoots out of the soil looking for the sun. Planted in in rich compost for lots of feeding. A quick water in the mornings to this stage. Time to mulch.

    what a day!

    Suns out, airs fresh and the earths drying out. Time to plan for next weekend. My Euodia needs care and new plantings required along the boundary. Time to browse the nurseries. Gotta love the blue sky.
