Born to a Horticulturist, I have been gardening since I could walk. After years and years of complaining about weeding, bulb planting in freezing ground and garden re-arrangements in my parent’s yard, I think it surprised all of us when I found every way possible to garden as soon as I got my own place. Truth is, I can not imagine the yard if it were not filled with plants and flowers in interesting combinations all year long. A vegetable garden was on my short list of things to do as soon as we moved into this house with some great sunny spots. It grows a little every year and our kids love to complain about having to work in the gardens… but they also love to eat fresh grown produce.
