Layers of gardening notions, ideas and facts crowd my brain, some of it questionable, silly, or wonderfully on the money, and much of it heresay. Just before I accidently came across Folia, I’d decided I needed to bring order and serenity to my garden and my life. (assuming order in one area will help the other.) When I adapt to the workings of this site I believe it will help eliminate the problems I create in the garden, inadvertantly and otherwise. I want to increase the yield and storage of vegetables and have more flowers, vegetables and herbs to give away. I also want to enjoy the way my garden looks. (The view goes downhill somewhat in the heat of summer.) I love growing all white flowers, especially white snapdragons, all delphiniums, hydrangeas, any flower blue to violet, especially the color in between, periwinkle. I also like growing delicata squash, all leafy greens, especially arugula—and so many other things. I recently discovered I like to draw, (not well, I might add) and the garden provides endless subjects and perspectives. I live in Minneota, US, zone 4 and love rain, snow, Seattle, Maine, and like reading about the Arctic.
