09 Apr 2009flowers? 1 purple rose akebia Flowering and stumble gardenlooks like one of my akebias is going to flower this year. it’s close to a south-facing wall, so maybe the extra heat made the difference. the buds are cute little spheres at the moment. they look like a tiny bunch of grapes. the vine is also growing like crazy.Overcast 7°C / 44°F

30 Mar 2009more to share five leaf akebia Sown, living room floor garden , and three leaf akebia Sownstarted some more akebia to grow up the downspouts and stair railings of our apartment building. these seedlings should take care of cross-pollination so there will hopefully be akebia fruit eventually. these things grow fast, but I think flowering the first year is unlikely. next year, though...8°C / 46°F
