01 Oct 2009Mashmoom is becoming very old! 1 Herb Tower garden and Mashmoom Hardening OffSunny 37°C / 99°F
This is the longest surviving plant I have. It doesn’t look like it’s thriving in the picture (with my make-do dripping system of inverted water bottle with a small piercing) – but believe me it is very sturdy.
It looks like basil – but it’s not. Smells like it as we...

01 Oct 2009It's sowing time! 3Sunny 36°C / 97°F
I have a wide array of gardening books, none of which tell me how to garden in the hot and dry weather of Riyadh! They have beautiful pics though and I use them for inspiration!
Noticing by the timelines of successive seed sowing I did last year, this is just about the right time to sow my seeds ...

I can remember this lemon tree sitting in my garden forever. I haven’t taken much care of it to be honest. Mainly watering it.

so eliminating that factor, i got the old wire ...

19 May 2009Depressed and Unhappy 1 242°C / 108°F
My garden is not growing as vigorously as before. I thought I would have learnt a thing or two about gardening already..
One thing i admit i haven’t done is disinfecting the pots between uses. My plants have suffered a lot of diseases and i simply have gotten rid of the compost and topped u...
