Weekend gardening summary
Ira worked a LOT on the long beds – getting the bamboo trellis set, and the ground smooth and worked well. Placed bamboo edging on the downhill side. Got all the hoses set up so everything can be watered.

Ira and I worked in the garden most of the day. Ira worked a lot on the bamboo trellis on the south (downhill) side of the garden, and digging various other areas. I tied up all the tomatoes (first time) and suckered them. Weeded the carrots and Swiss Chard. The replanted beets are coming up....

Picked kale and trimmed it down low.
Cut/picked all the Raab/Rapini. Will pull out the roots shortly. Quite bitter – definitely a turnip relative – I don’t really want any more…
