I’ve had houseplants for many years but only last year managed to get a real garden. Last year I managed to snag a plot in a community garden and was quickly addicted to gardening. I’ve added a second community plot for this year and am starting a small herb garden on my porch as well. I’m a graduate student in Cognitive Psychology so I’m pretty busy and big gardening projects are often planned around classes, meetings, and conferences.

When I’m not trying to save my houseplants from certain death or puttering around in my veggie garden, my free time goes to walking my dog, reading about gardening, and brewing beer.
