My swap list has been reset in March 2012 – hence why it’s pretty short – so anything that’s listed here as available can be treated as up to date. Anything else in my stash that’s not expressly listed as being available for swap might well in fact be so, provided that a) I can find it and b) I haven’t used it up. You can always ask.

Swap policies:

I aim to encourage worthwhile swaps and actively encourage multiple requests; if I’m going to send you an envelope it may as well contain five or ten packets of seeds rather than one. Similarly, I like to swap with those who can offer multiple swaps in return. I don’t ask that swaps are strictly equal, just that they are worthwhile. If you send me two sorts of seed that I wanted and I send you four in exchange, no problem, that’s well worth the stamp.

UK swaps:

Are strongly welcomed and encouraged. The base cost of a swap is about 50p for an envelope and a stamp and I have a post box at the end of the road, so it’s not like it’s any trouble.

International swaps:

I do not have any problem with posting internationally, provided that it does not contravene your local customs regulations and provided that we feel that it is worthwhile. I can’t see many situations in which this is helpful but I have before now dispatched mint cuttings to the Far East for a collector. If you think there’s a good case for an international swap, ask.

Propagated plants / cuttings

Items are listed with the best of intentions, but may or may not be reliably available. Certain cuttings may be propagated to order, which is offered in principle but far from guaranteed in practice, it depends on the time of year and the health of the plant.
