I’m a hopeful gardener. I tend to forget the important things like regular watering!
About 12 months ago, my partner and I moved into a house of our own, with a relatively clean slate of a garden – quite small, nice and flat, growing not much more than grass. So I’m getting used to the way the weather works here in Lithgow – I’d previously lived in the lower Blue Mountains, so the degree of cold and duration of frost is new to me. I’ve jumped the gun a bit with some of my sed plantings, having been warned not to plant tender things until after Melbourne Cup day, but I’m OK with losing things and starting over if I have to – it’s all a bit of an experiment, really.
I’ll write more as the garden progresses. Or if it doesn’t :)

I love to grow
Stuff I can eat! Heirloom and organic varieties when possible, though I've been given seeds and seedlings I'll also use.
Hobbies
Indoor stuff like sewing, embroidery and knitting, mostly related to medieval history recreation. I also spend too much time on the computer, reading facebook and playing games :)
