    Only a Few Left Bush Bean and Container Garden '09 garden
    Three remain. I believe they intensely dislike being transplanted. And need strong sun from the get-go so they don’t grow so spindly. Maybe I’ll try starting them in the ground under an improvised row cover.

    All fired up to find growing pea shoots in the bed today. The marauding chipmunk left his work unfinished. Peas for all!

    Initial Success Sugar Ann Snap Peas Transplanted and Container Garden '09 garden
    Gingerly transplanted these wholesale (complete with the remnants of their original brown-paper-sack container). There are currently about 20 beautiful pea shoots growing larger in a nice, big, faux-terracotta pot out there. Potting soil + sand + compost, watered in with weak compost tea.
