I’m happiest when I’m playing in our garden—whether the activity involves watering everything with a metal watering can, planting seeds in tiny peat pots in the greenhouse to KEXP’s “Preaching The Blues” radio show, digging out a funky yucca plant to put in a rain barrel, or tenderly transplanting veggie and flower babies.
Whatever it is, I feel most satisfied when I’m out in our yard, creating alongside Mother Earth.
However, I also love to read eclectic American history—anything that’s progressive and odd. And I like to write, too, and cook.
