Hello fellow gardeners!
I’ve been here, at this house and Australia for the last year and a half, originally from Seattle.
I’ve been attempting to grow as much of our food as possible for at least the last 10 years. I’m a chef for a living and have always had at least an herb garden.
And I’m loving the growing season here, for most things year-around…. if we can be smart about it.
I’m also loving all of the things that grow here, mangos, bananas, citrus, passionfruit…. even low-chill stone fruit.
I’ve had a few failures, but I’m learning.
My front yard is mostly clay and I’m attempting to turn it into a food forest. The back yard is a gentle slope and the soil is beautiful, that’s really half of the work isn’t it?
I’d love to know what others are growing, how they are going about it, and what they are cooking with it.
Cheers
Joe
