Was getting sick of how “umbrella-like” the foliage was on this plant, so I gave him a haircut :) Most of the clippings were transplanted, so he may have some cousins soon. Will keep this updated with new foliage growth.

The Serissa has a new home :) Yellowed out for a few days after the transplant, but is now doing well.

After about a month of no progress at all, this tree is finally producing branches again. I’ve trimmed the top branches, trying to encourage the branch buds in the middle of the plant to grow. Spread the energy evenly and all that.

14 Apr 2008Got These Today.. Brush Cherry Purchased and Bonsai Collection garden
The intention is to put them in the same pot, though the smaller tree (see pic 2) needs a bit more development before it’s ready to share a bonsai pot. These pics were taken after about a half hour of pruning which removed somewhere around 25% of the foliage.
