recovery Lemon Balm and Front Verandah garden
It could have been dying down, but I have noticed new small leaves forming near the base of the stems. I cut it back hard a couple of weeks ago, to see if it would recover. Although it still does not look very attractive, at least I still have the plant. I’ll wait until there are a few more...

)&(*^%$# caterpillars Spinach and Inside Triangular Bed garden
The rain has allowed these plants to recover from the hit they received from a recent infestation from caterpillars. They look healthy, but the leaves are full of holes. Perhaps I’ve just got to accept that I have holey spinach.

The Everlastings are sprouting! These plants are from seeds that I collected in the previous season. Yay. Will definitely get the snail pellets down. I can already see that they are starting to get mowed down.

While counting the oranges on the tree I noticed the dragonfly. I watched the dragonfly for a while, then decided to see if I could take a photograph. It was still there when I came back out of the house with my camera. I particularly like the shadow of the wing infrastructure shadowed on the lea...

picked Orange Harvesting and Tiny Orchard garden
All of the remaining oranges have been picked – all seven of them :) Not many, but it is a teeny tree and I have only just learnt how to look after it. I will savour these, and taste will be but a memory until anticipation of next year’s crop.

lemon looking limes Lime Harvesting and Tiny Orchard garden
We are still picking the limes, but they are getting to look like lemons – larger and lemon coloured. The taste is not as bitter as it was but I think this is due to the extra watering. Until last weekend we did not have lemons (traded some sweet chilli sauce for some), so have been using l...

oranges not grapefruit 1 Orange Harvesting and Tiny Orchard garden
It is an orange tree not a grapefruit! I have tasted the fruit and it is definitely an orange tree with the best oranges I have tasted in ages.

proof Asparagus Dying Down and Trial and Error garden
I keep forgetting about the Asparagus. I’m not sure how many crowns there are, but five spikes came up. Perhaps I should dig them up and see if I can divide them.

thriving Chamomile 'Lawn' and Trial and Error garden
Not sure how this spreads, but it still looks green and healthy. This is not going to be a chamomile lawn anytime soon at this rate though.
