The phlox David is just starting to bloom. This is working out well, as not much is blooming in that side of the bed right now other than the dahlias, which are just starting.

I got some more ‘Early Girl’, along with some cherries and a few Roma today. I was happy to see some very small ‘Early Girl’ tomatoes, so I’m hoping I will be able to keep harvesting.

The weather has been slightly cooler the last few days and we have even been getting brief, light late afternoon sprinkles. About 10 minutes of rain and not enough to register in the rain gauge, but still I will take whatever we can get.

Limelight is now covered in flower buds, so I’m guessing the blooms will be along at some point in the not too far distant future. I’m really looking forward to seeing them and watching them change colors.

29 Jun 2008putting out new growth Wax Myrtle and Holding Zone gardenNow that I have decided to try to keep the wax myrtle alive and moved it by some hydrangeas so it gets watered every day, it is doing much better! It has put out some nice new growth and seems much happier, if oddly shaped.Cloudy 30°C / 86°F
