I’m sort of flailing about and sometimes thing will grow. I’m not tidy. Each year things seem to do better. It’s slow.

I’ve read a lot about permaculture, so those things inform my thinking. We’ve built a new chicken coop. It’s named “The Chicken Fortress of Chicken Solitude”. Our three chickens, lovely black australorps, don’t have names because they all look alike. They’re timid little souls.

This year it seems like the yard is really maturing. I will have to take more pictures. I don’t seem to use this to its fullest potential, because i don’t remember to take the time to record things. Must try harder.
