My boyfriend and I own a Chicago bungalow on the northwest side of the city. It’s a city lot (30′ × 125′) but that doesn’t make building the gardens easy. We’ve planted at least six trees, lots of flowers and shrubs, and some veggies and herbs since we bought the place in June 2005.
