Don’t know what hardiness zone applies to where I live in Australia but a few others nearby have their zone as 10 so will go with that for now.

I’ve dabbled in gardening for about 20 years but never owned a place before to really get into it. Now I do and for the last few years have been trying to improve the soil as it was basically clay and hard packed when we moved in. there were no worms and not much but a few trees incl 2 heritage gum trees. It was tough during the drought getting anything established but now I have too many plants going wild and want to concentrate on vegetables and herbs.
