I’m a gardening newbie who’s lived the majority of her life in Tampa, FL. My husband and I are buying a house and we’re lucky enough to have a huge (to us) yard. I’ve decided to try to get in touch with my inner domestic goddess and also turn my somewhat brown thumb into a green one. Once we move, I’m hoping to plant my own vegetable & herb garden as well as flowers. I’ve grown herbs in the past and planted a bit around our patio, but I’m looking to be more involved this time around.

The rest of my time I spend teaching 5th grade math/science. I’m also a knitter and spinner (think Sleeping Beauty, not bike). I’m also pulling out the sewing machine to improve my seamstress skills as well. I’ve been happily married for two years and have a wonderful 7y/o stepson whom I’ve watched grow since a baby. I also love reading, fishing, and kayaking.
