My wife and I are “Alabama Transplants” – we are not from here. I am originally from Illinois and my wife is from the Upper Peninsula (UP) of Michigan. We are both used to having all four season with spectacular colors; but after moving to the South, all the seasons tend to flow into each other. One day it will be 90*F, then it will rain for a week and when it stops you realize it’s now in the 40’s.
We tinkered around with plants here and there a couple years ago, but in 2011 we really got serious and started to establish defined flower gardens. I wanted to find a way to track which plants and flowers we had, but when I found Folia, I was overwhelmed with joy!
We haven’t come across anything we want to specifically plant, we really like color and depth in our gardens.
