Sprouts Welsh Onion Sprouting, Balcony Garden 2009 garden , Sweet Basil Sprouting, Sunflower Sprouting, Roma Tomato...
I just now realized that I could add more than one plant per journal entry! That would make updating the sprouts much more easier. My apologies for the previous spammed updates. Now for the rest of the sprouts! (pictures to come soon!) My spinach sprouts aren’t looking too good. I don’...

Alien Spinach Sprouts 1 3 Spinach Sprouting and Balcony Garden 2009 garden
I thought the spinach sprouts looked really peculiar. I’ve never grown any leafy plant before though. As all the others, they’re growing like little weeds and are much bigger than they are in this shot already!

Sprouting #2 German Chamomile Sprouting and Balcony Garden 2009 garden
Chamomile seeds are so tiny, they’re like saw dust! Apparently I dropped a few into the bottom of the tray because there are a few sprouts down there along the cardboard too!

Sprouting! Catnip Sprouting and Balcony Garden 2009 garden
I’m so excited that the seeds actually took to the soil! I was afraid they would be duds since I didn’t think to pre-soak the soil. They’re all looking great so far.

A Noob Gardener: Sowing Seeds 3 Balcony Garden 2009 garden
I finally got to Home Depot and found some great organic seeding soil. I was so excited to actually find something that is organic! I also picked up a few seeding pots, the kind made out of material that breaks down in soil so when the sprouts need to be transplanted it is less of a hassle. Boy, ...

I have all of my seeds and plants ordered from Richters for this year! I received my seeds about a week ago with the plants coming as soon as they’re ready. I’m really excited to garden this year. I’d like to find some storage solutions so I can have more indoor plants that have...

Too big for its britches 1 Cornflower and Indoor Plants garden
The Cornflowers that lasted through the winter have been growing back wonderfully with the help of a weekly dose of wormy goodness. There has been so much growth that it started to get too top heavy and bend so I gave it a chopstick and a little kitchen string to help it grow around and stay upri...
