What to do on a snowy day...well...
Shady Grove gardenI went out and planted all the clumps of hostas I received from Cindee Loo yesterday, that’s what I did(with longjohns on for sure) Now the snow is too deep for the tractor, so inside I now and am I sweating…gotta get rid of these longjohns… :) Used that crappy Hyponex mixed wit...Light Snow 1°C / 34°F -

Winter Sowing 2012 gardenThis was one of my best, and also my worse event in flower gardening this year. Many of the milkjugs germinated and I had many, many seedlings. Adding some perennials(mostly shade)
kNot INn gardenI lost so many perennial seedlings, from winter sowing, because of the drought. Time to move forward and get some straggly ‘end of season’ bargains and replace(or place) where I had hoped to have planted those seedlings in the gardens.Partly Sunny 24°C / 75°F -

'Tomato' gardenFertilizer ‘Jugs’ are empty 2liter pop bottles, holes poked in bottoms, top 3rd of bottle cut off. Placed into the soil next to a vegetable plant.
