Endeavoring to plant, cultivate, and propagate perennials for the first time. Interested in gaining knowledge of plant uses as well as enjoying their color and beauty. Eventually would like to invest in a bee colony and produce honey. I live in a booming local sustainability environment and would love to know what I can bring to this bountiful table with a variety of products using herbs, flowers, and fruit. Any ideas out there?!
I am using the date of 2/1/08 to start tracking any of the established plants on this property, as it was the week before this that I moved in…and the date that we brought Jack and Janet’s dad, Bob, home from the nursing home so that I could care for him and he could live out his remaining days at home. I learned as much as I could from him about the plantings on the property so I could preserve their past and care for their future. I wonder what he would think of all that is going on here now?

I love to grow
Love the local flora, especially wildflowers. I have a hard time thinking of Queen Anne's Lace or Chicory as an invasive species in our area, I think they are beautiful.
